Question 1

What is Make the Pasta?

Accepted Answer

Make the Pasta is a project clarity tool that helps you separate outcomes from actions. You name an Ambition (the outcome you want), break it into Targets (the concrete moves), and sort them by six questions you answer yourself — Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How.

Question 2

How much does Make the Pasta cost?

Accepted Answer

Make the Pasta offers three options: $20 one-time for full workspace access (unlimited ambitions, targets, labeling, CSV export, and calendar), $15 for the premium printable method worksheet PDF, and $10 as an optional honor-system supporter payment.

Question 3

How does the Ambition-Target method work?

Accepted Answer

You start by naming an Ambition — the outcome you want to reach, not a task. Then you create Targets, which are the concrete moves that get you there. Each Target is sorted by six questions: Who receives the change, What actually changes, Where the work lives, When it needs to happen, Why it matters, and How it gets done. You answer all six yourself — the app keeps them visible, not AI-inferred.

Question 4

Who created Make the Pasta?

Accepted Answer

Make the Pasta was created by Tara C. Devlin and is a production of tara.city LLC. It is built around Tara's personal project clarity method.

Question 5

Can I export my data from Make the Pasta?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export all your data to CSV at any time. There are no subscriptions and no lock-in — your data is always yours.

Question 6

Is Make the Pasta a task manager?

Accepted Answer

No. Make the Pasta is a planning step that comes before a task manager. It helps you figure out which tasks to create and why, using the Ambition-Target method. You can then carry the method into any tool you already use.
